Z Plant

I was walking by Pusateri's office at Bayview Village and through the window I spied this planter...

I like it for its shape and scale. I had just picked up a planter from HomeSense and didn't know what to put in it. I bought two z plants at Ikea and put them in with some moss. The thing with the z plant is that it likes to be ignored, and it's low maintenance! Soo, if you don't have a lot of luck with plants, this is the one to try!

Paint By Numbers And A Moose

It was a warmer weekend, finally, and so we headed to check in on the cottage. There has been flood warnings in cottage country and many docks and boathouses are under siege from water.

We knocked a few items off the to-do list at the cottage. I am so excited that the paint by numbers wall is done! The bedrooms are small and lack architectural features. So I was hoping that having a whole wall of paint by numbers would add some vintage and architectural detail. Unfortunately I have only iphone pictures, but I am really happy how the wall has turned out!

I have been spending time in Muskoka for almost 20 years, and I have only seen a moose once! They are elusive and majestic with their presence. I always have my eyes peeled for them, and I often mistake them for a turned up tree root. Until Sunday, when we were leaving for home, I spotted her, laying by a country road in the sun, it made my weekend!

Etsy Love

I was in the city this week and saw the most beautiful balls made from pussy willows. At $134.00 each, they will not be a purchase, but they have inspired me to be creative with my spring urns this year. I thought I would see what Etsy had for pussy willows, a sign of spring!

HGTV Lovin

I am thankful for the invention of pvr some nights because I wouldn't be able to catch my shows on HGTV. If not, bedtime would involve a lot more yelling to get the kids in bed before they started. My latest love on HGTV, is The Bryck House.

I think Danielle Bryck is my hero. Not only does she run her own design business, but in every episode she will be installing tile, hardwood or wallpaper, all the while having three busy kids at home.

Here is some of her work...
